Description
- The establishment of the experiments was initiated in 1967, by Dr Ioan Boeriu, an advocate of agricultural research in North-Western Transylvania and the manager of the Fertilizers and Amendments Laboratory. - From September 1, 1974 until the end of 2022, the management of the trial was taken over by Dr. Paul Kurtinecz. -The long term experiment uses progressive doses of farmyard manure varying as well different doses of mineral fertilisers of nitrogen and phosphorus. -A range of conventional pesticides were used to control weeds, pests and diseases.
Design description
The bifactorial experiment (of the 4NP x 4FYM type) is divided into 4 replicates. Each replicate consists of 4 blocks, with 16 different plots, overall, the experiment consists of 64 plots of 4 m x 12 m size.
